As a blogger, creating content that is unique is important to stand out among all the other blogs in your niche. But there are times we need to pull inspiration from other sources on the internet.
Perhaps you’ve heard of the sky scraper technique of re-writing authoritative guides that rank 1st on google and making them better, longer, etc. in your own variation.
If you do this, you should still check that your content is 100% original in the eyes of Google so you don’t get penalized as well as avoiding any legal problems if the website owner finds out you have sourced content from them without crediting.
A tool I use to check for plagiarism is CopyScape and it has a free version or you can buy credits which are super cheap.
